Over the past few years, Neïl Beloufa has been developing a work that questions and foils the systems of our modern representations. His hybrid paintings and sculptures are both visual and conceptual. Through an assembly of pizzas boxes, beer boxes, and other rubbish from his studio, Neïl Beloufa creates contemporary stained glass windows in which fragments of our reality have been trapped. Sometimes they take the form of light boxes and subvert traditional advertising billboards, once more questioning modern life. Ironically repurposing the decorative use of artworks, Neïl Beloufa decks this new series with flowers piled up in a rough, colourful collage, the forms of which have been randomly taken from the internet.
