The tables are a historic re-creation of a table from 1920 made by Bernard Leach, I have made new tiles in Strasbourg at a small studio specialized in hand made tiles. The tiles are done in the style of and informed by references on his drawings on many of his ceramics. The metal work is hand made and done by an artisan in Lyon. The tables are made in a series of 25 made with the editions-house ‘we do not work alone’.

Les pieds en métal sont un hommage à la table créée par un potier anglais, Bernard Leach, et les carreaux de céramique peinte mêlent différentes références à l’art traditionnel japonais. L’artiste a peint les carreaux à la main, et chaque table produite dans cette série de trente sera donc unique.
